Perhaps not for a country boy from the South, but don't expect my wife and her side of the family to even consider such fare.

My sister is in Austin, and I've got relatives in San Antonio, New Braunfels, and San Marcos. Haven't really lived in Texas since my birth (El Paso), but I do visit fairly often.

One form of it is 100 shots of beer in 100 minutes. Or you could try 100 beers in 100 hours, but you need a long weekend for that.

New Braunfels now there is a town! Every summer for the last 4 years has been spent on the comal. Good times!

I will try that soon enough!

What about the eyeballs? I remember a pig roast we had a while back and a drunken friend of a friend ate them, grossed out all the women & children and some of the guys. Then he proceeded to pass out shortly afterward so I never got the chance to ask.

I'm still waiting for someone to say that they've eaten balut before, or a century egg. Don't click either if you have eaten recently or are going to eat soon.

FYI, 100 beers in 100 hours = death, even if you are STFS or a 6th year senior fratboy. Century club is 100 shots of beer in 100 minutes, and it can be a bit harsh.

Yeah I've been before. Florio's is good, but it's not THAT good. I don't know what the craze is. Next time you go give me a call though.

Taco Cabana is actually quite good for a fast-food chain. No complaints really (but it's obviously NOT Mexican food, but Tex-Mex has quality too).

drone, you need to visit me. I have family in Austin and I live in San Antonio

Unless you're the size of John Wayne, that's physically impossible. No joke. Your liver would swell up and burst if you tried to drink that much alcohol, and that's if you don't blow out your stomach and/or duodenal tract first. Or you didn't pass out and immediately die of alcohol poisoning.

It'd be like playing edward 40 hands...and feet...

I'm sure it's possible for people with a high tolerance though. Andre the giant could drink 150 beers in a night.

I've eaten a century egg before, they're quite good. I've never tried a balut, and I don't think I ever will...

I have 6 strips of bacon every day for lunch. Not as a topping, just 6 strips that I eat by themselves.

My Wife has had balut which was described as chicken meat fried in eggwhite. She didnt know what it was when she had it and kind of freaked out. when she found out. Century eggs she is fine with though. I have tried neither.

My fellow Greeks eat sheep's and goat's eyeball , especially from a roast animal in Easter. I ve convinced my wife to eat one and she did, but I never tried one. I eat the brain and tongue but never managed to try an eyeball.

    You are all girls!!

25 beers, that's like what? A little over two liter!? Now that is a huge amount, enough to make even a tough, manly man like me struggle. But if I have 24 hours, I am sure I can handle it!

Unlike all you girls here apparantly. Tsk.

The standard is 1 beer = 12 ounce can or bottle, or for you weirdo metric types, 0.355 liters. So 100 beers is 35.5 liters.

Yeah, I was concerned with the same measurement oddness as well. 25 beers equal to a little over two liters ?

Do you Frenchies drink beers in Turkish coffee cups and count each as one ?

Century egg is great. It really tastes alot better than it looks. The outside is kinda gelatin/jello like, but not as soft and doesn't really have any particular taste. The inside is a bit mushy and has a very distinctive taste that I can't really describe. Really, I would encourage you to try it
