With this timetable, I think we should accelerate the character selection process. Players need to have their avatars by the time the Council starts and it is unfair on people like Vladimir if they are left in limbo because of one or two no-shows.

I suggest that if Marcus Agrippa has not chosen an avatar within 24 hours of this post:

    https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showp...8&postcount=77

we should skip to Cultured Drizzt Fan.

More generally, I would recommend all other people still waiting for an avatar to PM TheFlax with a ranked list of their 5 preferred avatars within 24 hours. When that time is up, theFlax can then allocate the remaining avatars - anyone not expressing a preference going to the back of the queue.

If we do that or something similar, we can be sure that everyone who has showed up will have an avatar before the Council starts on Monday.

It's worth noting that Marcus Agrippa, according to the poll, does not have his game properly set up yet either.

MA hasn't been online since before it was his turn... I'd say move on to Drizzt, who will now have Yvon Lacaze as requested.

I will send MA a pm. He can come in anytime to take a character. In the meantime, everyone is up.

Well have fun. Hopefully you'll have time to update the original post to reflect which generals remain?

My Apologies gents I thought it might be a while before the game started as so many threads were for what's the next game.
If I'm allowed to choose right now I'd go for Alexandre Le Sueur.
Sorry again for not being around recently.
If you want me to take another position in the line I'll wait.

    Nope, you should be fine.

    By my count that leaves:

    Dafug3
    Vladimir
    Beskar

    Edit: I'll send Dafug3 a PM

Its been over 24 hours since the last selection. I think we should skip Dafug3 and let Vladimir pick his avatar.
Why did the chicken cross the road?

So that its subjects will view it with admiration, as a chicken which has the daring and courage to boldly cross the road,
but also with fear, for whom among them has the strength to contend with such a paragon of avian virtue? In such a manner is the princely
    chicken's dominion maintained. ~Machiavelli

2 Chivalry, huh? Don't know how that will sit with your friends in Aquitaine. I don't think showing mercy towards your enemies is near the top of their to-do list.

Chivalry is sadly very easy to lose, but if he wants to keep it, Vladimir's character is very welcome to join the Order of the Fleurs de Lys - as is any other like minded player.

Pshaw, let's not take those chiv/dread points too literally. We're all playing killers, just some of us are more rule abiding killers than others. I take Louis' most dread-tastic trait to mainly manifest as an utter indifference to the lot of the peasant, a quality I dare say he would have in common with virtually all the nobility of the period.

Aquitaine is not the exclusive realm of the dreadly types. All are welcome to come enjoy the wine, wenching, and wrenching away of our enemies' lives and wealth.
