Or it could be someone trying to frame those who know french.

Write-ups are nice and interesting and all, but I think analysing thread behaviour is more interesting. After all, the write-ups are written or at least influenced by the killers. Who else but scum, wannabe-scum and serial killers would go out killing on night 1? Why would we bother paying attention to what they wrote (if they wrote it themselves, Seamus); it's just there to confuse us.
I think both can be valuable, especially when they can be connected.

Given you think there is plentiful information and leads to go on, then, why abstain? Put more pressure on craterus if that's the best suspect you can think of.

Yes, but a Don have Lucas which will protect him from hits... Any investigations on Sasaki?

I was Don Corleone in Capo II and as long as I had living Lucas I would survive a hit. I was also a lucky person and would survive a hit on my own.

OK looking back Jolt was a bad example, sorry, what struck me about you was your voting post contained no other words. I hope you get my point. A random vote from a townie is better than an abstention. If you're town you have no reason to abstain.

    @ Andres...

Geeze. You're the one voting for me on a hunch. I'm not accusing you.

My point about the vigilante kill stands. Saying that your alibi is worthless is not the same as directly accusing you of being mafia. We cannot accept the alibis of people saying "I protected X with A, B and C" because in Capo there are wise guys who will want to form new mafia families. They do this by working together to vig kill people and they can turn around together and say "We protected X" and nobody can confirm or deny that. These "alibis" are not alibis at all.

I don't even accuse you of being mafia, and yet you are reacting. This is after voting for me 'on a hunch'...

That's really bad reasoning for voting somebody.
Well I've not got better to work with, and as you might have guessed I'm not a fan of abstentions.

Okay, people are wanting votes where there is very little to vote (yes I know first round and all).

But one kill from an alleged 5 mafia families? What are the mafia doing?

There seemed to be a lack of attacks to be honest.

I got my night order result and inconclusive as no attack was made.

So to go along with Caius

Unvote abstain Vote Reenk what did you do last night?

Nothing. After Reenk abandoned you and me, TS told me to work with Craterus and Beefy to protect Sasaki. However, I didn't receive this info until I woke up this morning, a few minutes after the night phase ended.

Based on a quick read-through I would err on the side of The Stranger's killer being a serial one. While Myrdraal makes an excellent point in that it could well be a mafioso attempting to sow confusion at an early stage, I feel events that strange have to have some root cause (ie: serial killer will have a particular modus operandi and murder victim profile that he will fit...). The poetic reference to The Stranger being (in part) the author of his own demise, would also suggest this. I'd suggest keeping an eye out for any similar killings over the coming nights.

I'm going to Vote: Beefy, for his lucky escape. While there was no obvious agent of protection, the mention of his fedora automatically produces suspicion on my part...

I'd also wonder how a 'vigilante group' would have any basis for forming at such an early stage...

If wearing a fedora makes me a killer, we might as well arrest anyone wearing a shades for being a mafia.

We should keep in mind that detectives also wear fedoras too.

Craterus I can't really consider a suspect really. It's just the only awser I can't directly discard. I'm going to wait and see some longer. Hopefully the posts, or lurking of people might get us somewhere.

Whilst beefy's fedora may have been a subtle hint at his role I'm more inclined to believe that it was more for write-up effect than any other reason

Haha alright, I have been working on getting something concrete. There is something I have found out that I plan on revealing to everyone later tonight (Approx 2200-2400 CST) after I hear back from some people.
