I hear it is very Salty, I shall use very little on a buttered piece of toast.
I can eat small pieces of anchovy, so it can't be that bad.

Start with buttered toast and then thinly spread over the top. Eventually you will work up to more of it.
Try a toasted vegemite and cheese sandwhich. Great for a snack.

Step 1: Take a lightly toasted piece of bread.
Step 2: Spread just enough to cover the bread
Step 3: Eat
Best toast.
Otherwise just stick a finger in and eat it. Its a bit strong.

Strange but true. There was a story recently about a man who went hiking with a mate. Can you describe the difference between marmite and vegemite? I love marmite, which I spread on a thick piece of bread, either wholemeal or preferably granular. The bread should be sliced just over half an inch thick, and the marmite should be spread, if not exactly thickly, certainly reasonably generously. This should be followed by another slice of bread, slightly thinner cut, spread with good quality fruit conserve - my current fave is blackcurrant. All washed down with a large mug of water.

in my opinion, Vegimite is quite a bit sweeter tasting than marmite, which is an automatic turnoff for me. If you like marmite chances are you won't like vegimite, and the same goes for people who like Vegimite, will find marmite to taste much too bitter.

I have only tried the kiwi variety which I don't like for exactly the same reason why you don't like vegemite, it's a bit sweeter than vegemite. I've never tried the english variety so I can't comment on that.

I just ate two slices of toast spread with butter and a somewhat thin layer of Vegemite.
It's not bad. I kinda like it.
We went to this store in montclair, that had all kinds of british and commonwealth products. Including BACON FLAVORED POTATO CHIPS!!!1!!1!!

I ate a vegemite and cheese sandwich but i put a little too much on. Still, it doesn't taste as bad as a lot of over-dramatic Yanks may make it seem. It was pretty good with cheese too.
Rule of thumb: Don't eat it by itself. It's too salty.
Now everytime I burp it tastes like beef gravy.
