Can you describe the difference between marmite and vegemite? I love marmite, which I spread on a thick piece of bread, either wholemeal or preferably granular. The bread should be sliced just over half an inch thick, and the marmite should be spread, if not exactly thickly, certainly reasonably generously. This should be followed by another slice of bread, slightly thinner cut, spread with good quality fruit conserve - my current fave is blackcurrant. All washed down with a large mug of water.
