I'll second and third that last bit. People who take the game seriously tend to live in their mama's basements while the neighbors' dog tells them to kill. Never, ever play unless you have enough friends to lock out a field for your own crew.

And this is where the fun lies in the game. The smack talk/war stories aspect make it really great. You don't get this when the players don't know each other, and you have to deal with a lot of jackholes. There is a lot of similarity between paintball and multiplayer video games.
