Unit Description
Feudal Men-at-Arms are the main sword unit available to the Catholic factions during the Early period. They are a solid, dependable sword unit, with decent stats and Elite status. Their large shield helps protect them from both missiles and in melee. Feudal Men-at-Arms are the predecessors to Chivalric Men-at-Arms which become available in High, but will still serve beyond the Early period with experience and upgrades.
Feudal Men-at-Arms can be used as front line infantry or flankers, their main job is to kill the enemy, especially spear units. It is not advisable to allow them to be charged by cavalry, they do not have the strong formation and anti-cavalry bonuses that spear units get and will suffer accordingly.
