Hello everyone

As you can tell I am new to the forums, so I am going to share a little about my Total War experience.

The only Total War game I own currently is Medieval 2. My first campaign was with Spain, which was a fairly tough one, barely managing to get 22 provinces. The second campaign was with the Moors, which I won by managing to hold more than 50 provinces. Currently I am playing as Russia (I got bored of Iberia and Western Europe) and it is not that easy. After finishing with Russia I am thinking about trying one of the Italian cit states.

By the way I got Stainless Steel, but it felt very unbalanced, and few factions were a a bit overdone compared (Kiev, Novgorod, Cumans, Mongols) to others.

Thanks! I need someone to help me with this: forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?42905-Hard-Coded-Limits , especially about overall unit limits. I am new here, so i apologise if I shouldn't place this here. So, i would like to set limit on unit recruit for more realistic game (for me), and decisive battles, example would be: 4 roman factions= 28 units of hastati limit, and 1 roman faction 7 units of hastati in total. Is this possible? Thank you all!

Short intro:
Long time war gamer--yes that means dice and die-cut cardboard counters ! Think "Third Reich", "ASL", etc.,...yea, I'm old!
Started with MTW way back when...but then..."Civilization IV Beyond the Sword" came out and...fast forward about 7 years or so and here I am back playing and really enjoying MTW2.
So I came to these forums to figure out how to use my diplomats mostly--I was doing an excellent job of not using them properly!--and have been impressed with all the game info available here.

I still play AoE2~:). Totally different style, I play Rome Total War, and it took some getting used to after Age of Empires:rtwyes:. It was worth it, though:2thumbsup:. I play more Rome than the Age of Empires games, but AoE2 is too good to abandon.

I am not new to the ORG, but am having a problem with the forum.

When accessing the ORG on my phone the display is different than when accessing the site on my computer or another phone. Rather than the regular ORG motif and background images and fonts, at the top of the screen it is written Bulletin in white letters and a blue and white background. I am still able to use the forum as I regularly would but the formatting is different and images are not shown correctly.

I believe it is a problem with my phone, but dont know how to solve it. If anyone has any ideas as to the problem please reply.

Sounds like you are defaulting to the vBulletin Mobile style. If so, you can change to the full style by selecting "Full Site" at the bottom of the every page. Once the default style loads, you should then be able to select your favourite style using the drop down menu at the bottom left of each page.

I am old EB player (played it on EB1 before MTW2 version got released), I played this mod for few years now - I just first was on Polish totalwar forums only (the ones I have no fond memories of) and then stopped attending internet forums for a while, on my own decision.
I personally enjoy playing Bosporitai - for being only Greek nation able to urbanize the steppes and pastoral regions - Parthians (for a wibe of recreation of Achaimenid Empire), Seleukidai and Bactria when playing in former Alexander's Empire as Greek faction and Macedon or Greek League in Greece itself.
I tried to play in the West (both as Pritannoi, Iberians, Carthage and Rome), but never felt it truly immersive in my liking.
I have few "odd" habits in EB 2, namely putting watchtowers throughpout my realm to watch it whole like under fog of war off, playing tall and slowly, and going on buidling wibe as player.
Personally enjoy more roleplaying and builder lifestyle in game than pure fighting.
I am also also unapologethic Macedonian phalanx enjoyer.
That's all I think.

I played on battle in General view. I routed my enemy. I relived Rome as I remembered it. Then the application crashed. After three hours of research I am about to execute the solution. This game got me off my lazy ass and retaught me how to download mods and patches. Its because I am old. And possible stupid.

Greetings! I'm contemplating installing EB for Rome 1, followed information links and all. Then, much like I always do whenever I see a forum, I went to check if there was a Mafia section, and was surprised to see it seemed to have very active games (and to see familiar faces too lol), so why not make an account, I guess. Hi Guys, I played just Rome Total War and Medieval Total War since 2006 but I played them a lot especially Medieval Total War II and hell I'm still playing it.
