1284 is complete, and the report updated:

    https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showp...&postcount=267

1286 and a battle queue will follow soon.

Welcome aboard EO. I'm sure this will all sort out.

    Hello everyone,

Thank you for the welcome! This is indeed a different world (and, heaven help us, a world ruled by testosterone! lol) But I'm happy to have so many possibilities.

In honesty, though, the character I wish to develop in the Tavern simply wants to be in the tavern: a commoner, who perhaps gets caught up in the events of the day because of her position. If she ends up influencing anyone, I would prefer that it grow out of the roleplay, rather than beginning with a vote in the Diet, or any other position.

I'm coming from outside of the Total War game, simply with an interest in role-playing. I guess this is fairly rare but I would much prefer the freedom of having no "official" influence at all.

Is this all right? Sorry if I have stirred things up a bit too much already!

    Sincerely,
    Olympia

No, no, that all seems perfectly fine to me Olympia.

You can do what ever you want. Being boy's we naturally thought you would like to get all gun ho and wade in with stats and influence etc etc.

    Your approach is perfect.

Why don't you go an answer Duke Arnold question so we can know your name...

...have you read up on all the characters?? Making the comment to Duke Arnold on whether he can read was pretty close to causing an uproar with your first interaction.

    EO:

    Welcome aboard.

No need to apologize. This is how we roll. An idea gets thrown out into the OOC thread. A bunch of us pounce on it and give our opinion. Econ makes a ruling. Peace reigns over the land until the next idea. Has worked well so far.

Seeing as Jan is not exactly a "ladies man" (due to his traits) I didn't think about that. Duke Arnold on the other hand seems to be "distracted" at the moment.

    Bloody hell guy's.

She talking to a man that has request that the Realm make it official business to find him a wife...that has not worked out even after 4 or 5 years of trying even from the very capable Chancellor Matthias...who I might add, has found every other eligible bachelor a damn wife...

...does he pack it all in and forget about ever being married to some noble woman...or....NOT?

Arnold's been philandering for years...oh dear...

I'm not sure this is fate, but the timing is pretty impressive.

I'm just wondering how much EO has read about all the history.

Well, the Tavern does have bedrooms upstairs. Jan has 9 piety now and probably wouldn't use em. (at this point he's not really a sex-before-marriage kind of guy) But, I'm sure other characters can think of creative uses for bedrooms over bars...

Not terribly much except recently. But Arnold's character was fairly easy to pick out Jan I don't know well enough to tell yet.

And as for that picture, Stig, lol! That could be appealing to some people, but sadly, she isn't Bavarian

FH: Well, seeing as how she dived right in with Duke Arnold, I am assuming that she knows what she's getting herself into.

EO: Once you become a member, you'll get editing rights. Talk to econ and he might be able to fast-track the process for you. Otherwise its just a matter of time.

    Welcome EO!

You get your edit button when you become a normal member - econ will probably help with that.

It's times like these where I wish Jens were still alive. He was hitting on Theodora in the Diet before he bought it so I'm sure he'd have no shame in the Tavern.

Once you become a member you can edit your posts. That takes about 100 posts I think.

To get the edit function you would have to become at least a full member. To do that, you normally have to be around for a while (usually two weeks if you behave well, can be more). Sometimes there are exceptions for extraordinary posts or rarely for partaking in polls.

I think it took 3 weeks and over 500 posts to get my promotion

I didn't bother posting in the Entrance Hall's Intro thread ever though...and generally was posting hints for M2TW and bugs in the Citadel only.

Yeah, I didn't have many either. Just a few in the Citadel. These days, they seem to just change the title en masse as long as those in question have posted a little bit and behaved. There seems to be a regular time that they do it so its a matter of waiting unless Econ can make a special request which I've seen him do on the older OOC threads.

    *edit*
Thats true, I did post in the welcome thread. They say they look at that so that might have helped.

I guess I will wait for their assault. BTW, I am too lazy to load up the save, but can any1 tell me about how many French troops are besieging me as well as the contents of my army after retraining?
