First off I'd like to say amazing work guys! The skins look beautiful, the animations are great, and it's cool to learn a bit about the team members and how the modding is organized. Now I'd like to add some constructive criticism...

One hobby of mine is traditional archery, and I have been involved with it for a few years. When I watched the animations for the archers I thought they were an improvement over the vanilla ones, however one of the first things I noticed was that the archers moved as soon the arrow was released. This is considered bad form and results in horrible accuracy. Correct form would be to hold your position after releasing the arrow; you are not supposed to move until the arrow hits the target. I understand that in warfare archers shot in volleys rather than focusing on personal accuracy, so correct form probably did not matter as much. Also they would have shot over greater distances than while hunting or target shooting, so that rule might not apply. I am no historian but personally I think they would have held their posture for at least a couple of seconds before moving, giving the arrow plenty of time to get away from them. To fix the animation all you need to do is have the archers stay still for maybe a fraction of a second instead of moving right after they shoot.

    I hope this helps

    Thanks for your feedback!

This part of the animation (releasing the arrow) wasn't much changed from the vanilla version. Your advice and suggestion are very welcome, so we'll make a small research into this matter and make any necessary adjustments, which probably include the additional frames that you spoke.

    amazing, amazing work guys!

about the shield w/the bull...the coin it is shown being based on has the bull charging and its right-front foot on the ground. the image on the shield has the bull laying down w/the right-front foot underneath the body. was this intentional?

Um, i think the that image on the shield is also of a bull charging, but in mid-stride with the front foot off the ground (its difficult to tell with no ground being shown). I imagine that the foot being redrawn under his body was a mistake rather than intentional.

You're welcome. If you want I can send you links to some archery websites, they could help you out a little in other areas of the mod as well.
