The problem with that option is the hardcoded +1 armor that comes with upgrading the armor/skin. You get +1 armor and only +1 armor. Since reform units often have differences in nearly all their stats or even fighting style, this is an obsticle.

Fine then! Then I am going to spam CA with requests to change the hardcoding!

    *sobers up*

So would an online petition work? What's the benefit of hardcoding anyway? I've heard it speeds up the game. Is that true?

forget writing to 'em-they got empires coming out.

and yes, hardcoading speeds the whole lot of the program up.

EDIT: apparently so does pak-filing the sounds and units, zbut I'm hardpressed for proof.

That's true, but how difficult is it to change the hardcoding? It doesn't seem like a hard thing to do, or is it?

Seem? Have any experience in this matter. I learnt along time ago that programming is a lot more complicated than it looks at first.

Believe me Foot, when I said "That's true, but how difficult is it to change the hardcoding?" I did not mean it in "it can't be so difficult" way. Those words were a question inquiring upon the diffculty of changing harcoding, not a statement on how easy it is. I have no programming experience and therefore I have no idea how difficult it is. That is why I was asking how difficult it is to change the hardcoding. So, does anyone have a more definite answer?

If you wrote the program and have it available to you it probably isn't a relatively hard thing to do. If you didn't write the program, it would probably take months and be quite illegal.

Actually I was referring to the second part of your post where you said "It doesn't seem like a hard thing to do, or is it?"
