I had guessed that the Chairman would be a tough cookie, but hadn't pegged his officers down as being of similar stock, therefore assuming that their identities would be secret to all but one another and the Chairman, thus making the above post. Naturally, such secrecy wouldn't be required if they're inherently hard to kill themselves.

This is all the result of reading over the rules with no sleep at all... I've learned a valuable lesson today!

I don't mind either way how the officers are chosen; public elections would allow us to pick players according to their strengths to fulfill the power roles, but if we're going to place enough faith in someone to vote for them to be Chairman in the first place, then should we not place further trust in their wisdom and allow them to make the choices themselves.

All I'd ask is that it doesn't descend into some sort of popularity contest, really.
