Unit Description
In times of war, each villiage and town is required to produce, fully equip and support a number of conscripts. Azabs, meaning bachelors, is one such unit. These poorly armed and armored units are primarially used to guard roads and bridges. Also, they are good for supporting other units, spears, heavy infantry and archers. They won't fare well in close combat for very long and will never stand up to cavalry or a cavalry charge. The most practical use for Azabs would be as garrison troops, in support, defending a siege or maintaining public order due to thier low cost and expendability. They also make good fodder to absorb arrows on the offensive or as ram teams when conducting a siege.
