Unit Description
Byzantine Infantry is made up of men recruited from the Byzantine Empire who possessed land grants. Byzantine Infantry tend to fight for the empire more for profit than any sense of loyalty. Byzantine Infantry is equiped with a sword and carry a large shield. They wear mail armor that is upgradeable. A good infantry unit that can hold it's own against lighter and heavy infantry. Less suseptable to arrow fire due to the armor, but not so much against armor piercing missles. They can hold thier own against cavalry, but will waiver and rout unless supported. Best used as shock troops.
