+ | In Medieval Italy, a large lance meant a man at arms supported by some lighter troops. The term broken lance refers to men at arms that have been speparated from the rest of the army and trained sperately. They are an excellent heavy cavalry who fight with a lance for charges and a secondary weapon for close quarter melee combat. They carry a shield in melee and wear plate armor. Good for taking on lighter cavalry and like heavies. Will take out archers, light infantry and heavy infantry. Not good for spear units though. Also, due to the heavy armor, they are rather slow. Not good to chase down horse archers with Broken Lances. Not to vulnerable to missle fire, except from armor piercing missles. | ||
