Aventuriers are called upon to protect France from invading foreign armies. Aventuriers are highly skilled crossbowmen from the noble classes. They have a secondary weapon, the sword, which they can use well against other archers and light infantry in melee. They wear plate armor that provides good protection from enemy missle fire, as long as it is not armor piercing. Aventuriers can also be called upon to hold enemy heavy infantry for a time.
