Berdiche Axmen are a Russian unit that carry a two handed axe and can wear armor from mail to brigandine armor. They make excellent shock troops able to take on archers, spear infantry, heavy infantry and like axemen. Able to hold thier own against cavalry for a time, they will eventually fall.
