Unit Description
Arquebusiers are soldiers equipped with a primative rifle and swords for close quarter combat. Their rifles are fired at close range and quite accurate. There is little chance of the rifle exploding and killing the soldier. The bullets are armor piecing and can take down any unit that should be brave enough to approach it. Volleys are at a decent pace, comparable to crossbows, but not as rapid as the traditional bow soldiers. Not good in melee, except against other Arquebusiers or archers, the formation will quickly dissolve when engaging heavy infantry, spears or cavalry. Also, being lightly armored or not armored at all, Arquebusiers are very susestable to missle fire. Approaching enemies might even suffer a morale penalty when approaching and fired upon by the Arquebusiers which make them a rather versitle unit if used correctly.
