STAR WARS: FALL OF THE ORDER
OFFICIAL GAME RULES
1. Once the game begins, you will be sent a role PM. This will tell you what role you are, and determine your victory conditions, your abilities, etc.
2. Quoting your role PM is not allowed! You are allowed to say which Jedi you are and what powers you have, but quoting your entire role PM or partially quoting your role PM is not allowed. Unsure of how much you can copy directly? Ask me before you post.
3. NO QUOTING HOST'S PMS, NO QUOTING CHATLOGS, NO SCREENSHOTS, NO ALTERNATE ACCOUNTS, AND NO TRANSLATING PM'S-You may claim whatever you want, including role name, so long as you don't quote my PM's word for word, or very close to word for word. You may show a picture of your Jedi; it proves nothing. You may show pictures of your force powers; they prove nothing.
4. Many roles can perform an action, or several actions, in the night. This is accomplished by sending me a PM during the night phase detailing what you want to do, who you want to do it to. Failure to do so will result in the night action failing.
5. The dead cannot reveal anything, including previous night actions, but they may participate as much as they want to contribute to general discussion. The dead also may not communicate outside the thread in any way, shape, or form relating to this game, be it via PM, chat, quicktopic, or other.
AMENDMENT: Force Ghosts count as living players.
6. I do not allow Vote: No Lynch as an option. Period. You cannot defeat the Sith without lynching. You may abstain, however.
7. If you wish to take back a vote, you CANNOT do it by editing a previous post. I will not count it. You must unvote:PlayerX in order to recant the previous vote. In order to vote for someone, you must do so in the usual Vote: Askthepizzaguy style. Votes must be bolded, for reference. However, you may edit a post with a vote in it. Just not the vote itself, nor can you cover up the vote with spoiler tags or otherwise alter your vote. I will be able to tell that you've done this, because I am moderating this thread.
8. WOGs will occur if a person does not vote 5 rounds in a row or never reads their role PM. Please, please don't make me WOG you. It won't be a pretty death.
9. Suicides will only be allowed in the event of a person being very much unable to participate in the game. I do not allow suicides for any other reason.
10. DON'T MESS WITH THE TALLY! If I determine ANYONE is intentionally misrepresenting the tally, I WILL wog the offender immediately.
11. Voting periods will be 24 hours. Night periods will be 24-48 hours, depending on if I got all the Sith night actions or not. If you fail to send in night actions, but the Sith have remembered to do so, that's a shame. You should have sent them in advance. Results of lynches and night actions my take a little time for me to produce, so I may lock this thread while I am doing that, to prevent posting.
12. Do not send each other private messages about this game while the game thread is locked, please. Locked thread means communications SILENCE.
13. Lynch votes that end in a tie will result in the two Jedi involved being forced to engage each other in battle, to the death. Note however that the result of the battle is not always fatal, and will sometimes end in a draw (No Lynch).
14. Your alignment is not set in stone, but you're expected to try to achieve the original victory conditions you were given unless they do change. Be a sport and try!
15. I may need to adjust the game if I feel a fatal flaw in the game design has made it impossible for one side to win. If I do have to adjust the game mechanics in any way, I will say so publicly, and I will explain why after the game, or privately to the concerned parties at my discretion. This game is so complicated that it is possible an endgame scenario is reached where one side never had any chance of winning, and I'll adjust the game accordingly. However, I will not hand any side the game, just make it possible where it wasn't before. I will keep my hands off, as a rule, unless absolutely necessary.
16. I will only announce the promotion to Jedi Knights and above. Promotion from Initiate to Padawan is not necessary to announce.
17. I reserve the right to amend these rules as I see fit. If I amend the rules it will be announced publicly, and in the immediate writeup to follow, and edit this list.
18. Results of Night and Day Phases which are made public will be posted here, but also in the Information thread for your convenience.
Link to the Information Thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?131244-Star-Wars-Fall-of-the-Order-Information-Thread).
19. If you are going to be absent during the game, you may tell me which night actions to perform while you are away, until you get back. If you intend to miss many days of voting, send me a message explaining why and when you think you'll be back. Then, I won't WOG you.

Coruscant
Nomi Sunrider arrived in the Republic capital to inform the Jedi Council, or what was left of it, that the Sith have returned after centuries of exile. The Councilors were not surprised to hear what happened aboard the Star Destroyer... so many Jedi died at the hands of the Sith, that it caused a wound in the force that could be felt clear across the galaxy. Nomi then informed the council that she now had in her possession a Sith Holocron. Some of the Councilors requested that it be destroyed, while others wished to study the device, but Nomi told them that her decision had already been made. She had seen with her own eyes the terrible destructive power of the Sith Holocron, and she knew there had to be countless others scattered all across the galaxy. Just one Sith holocron had destroyed 39 lives on the Star Destroyer, turning Jedi against one another. No longer could they afford to ignore the seductive power of the dark side. Nomi took it upon herself to dismantle and study the Sith Holocron, analyze and safely catalogue the data. She wished to devise new methods of resisting the Sith.
The months passed, and the Council grew uneasy. Having a large and vital fragment of Sith knowledge under the sole possession of a single Jedi was too large a risk to take. They convinced Nomi that the time had come to begin instructing the Jedi council how to resist the dark side. But before that could happen, they would have to be exposed to the dark side itself... only by facing their greatest fears and temptations would they become strong-willed enough to attain true Enlightenment, and gain mastery of the light side of the force. For a time, the lessons went well. Nomi was able to break down the Sith teachings and accompany them with meditation and resistance exercises, to purge their minds of the dark emotions those teachings evoked, while giving them the knowledge necessary to counter Sith attacks. But nothing ever goes entirely as plannned. One night, Jedi Masters Vrook and Vandar were murdered while viewing the Sith Holocron. The device itself went missing, and Nomi knew it could only have been the Sith. Somehow, they had survived... they were not all wiped out when their attack on the Star Destroyer failed.
The Jedi were spread throughout the galaxy, participating in peacekeeping missions, resolving trade disputes, and engaging in exploration and scientific study. Few Jedi ever reported back to the Jedi Council, as the galaxy had been at peace for so long that there was relatively little that requires a Council decision. Consequentially, many Jedi were surprised to receive an emergency signal from Coruscant, calling for as many Jedi as possible to report back to the Republic capital in person. But few responded.
Nomi sensed the Order was in great danger. Several hundred Jedi Knights failed to report back from the Outer Rim territories. Large swaths of the Outer Rim, from Korriban to Utapau, seemed to be experiencing communications disruption on an unprecedented scale. Then, as some of the Inner Rim territories went silent, Nomi realized that there was no way anyone could knock out communications in so many places at once. The disruption had to be a local phenomenon, and Nomi realized someone had sabotaged the Jedi communications network itself, which could only have been done on Coruscant.
"A communications disruption can mean only one thing—invasion."
―Sio Bibble
A full-scale invasion of the Republic capital had not happened in a thousand years. With no way to warn the Jedi spread across the galaxy, and an attack imminent, Nomi called for all the Jedi on Coruscant to board the Republic flagship, a Star Destroyer called the Penance. Nomi sent out a distress signal to anyone who could hear it, and ordered the Republic starfleet back to the Inner Core to defend Coruscant. No one responded. The Republic capital, which had stood for a thousand years, was undefended save for one Republic warship, and a few dozen Jedi. There was no way to call for help. With the communications network down, the vast amounts of astrometric data required to make the jump to light speed wasn't available. One stray comet or even a dust cloud could rip the ship apart. The great expanse of the galaxy, usually so bright and full of life, seemed deathly silent. From the dark, something was coming. Nomi had no doubt that whoever murdered Jedi Masters Vrook and Vandar were on the ship. There would be no way to fight the shadowy invasion force unless they could be sure that the Penance would not be sabotaged from within during battle. Even a split second with the shields down in a firefight could destroy the ship and all the Jedi on it. The circumstances demanded that all threats within the ship had to be eliminated before the Republic could be saved from destruction. The situation seemed all too familiar.
Nomi wondered if any of the Jedi would survive this time....

Frequently Asked Questions and Helpful Game Information
HOW TO PLAY
Day Phases
During the Day Phase you may vote to decide who gets lynched.
Night Phases
During the Night Phase, you may have several options, or none. Some begin with no night actions, and some begin with plenty of them.
Passive Abilities: Refer to your role PM. In general, if you have any passive abilities, they function without your instruction. You are glad to have these abilities, but they will be used automatically, so you don't need to send in orders for those.
Active Defenses: If you only have one, and you can only use one, it will function without your instruction. If you have used a defense before, it will remain active unless you give a different command. If you give a command for me to follow while you are away, I will follow your instructions to the best of my ability. If you have several defenses, you must tell me which one to use, or I will randomly choose one and it may not be pretty what happens next. If you can use two defenses, you must tell me which ORDER they are to be used in. Which defense is FIRST, which defense is SECOND? Let me know explicitly, or else I will use them in the order in which you've written them, no exceptions.
Active Abilities: If you have one or more active abilities (such as investigation, murder, protection, roleblock, etc) and you may only use one, you must tell me which one you would like to use that night, and on which target. If you fail to specify, the action WILL fail, no exceptions. If you have two or more active abilities, and you may use two, you must tell me which one you would like to use FIRST, and on which target, and which one you would like to use SECOND, and on which target. However, if you are constrained by the game mechanics, you may only be able to use both abilities on the same target. I will let you know if and when that changes.
As you can see, night actions are critical to this game. The underlying mechanics are complex, and you will not always be informed of how they work. If you wish to know more about a certain ability of yours, or you wish to ask me a question, send me a private message and I'll try to answer it. However, I may not respond to certain questions if the answers are not meant for you to know. I've gone to great lengths to make the game easy to understand and as intuitive as possible, so only ask serious questions, so you don't flood my inbox.
ASKING QUESTIONS: YES YOU CAN
I reserve the right to post answers to frequently asked questions, and you are strongly encouraged to read the RULES (here (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?131243-Star-Wars-Fall-of-the-Order-in-play&p=2053218960&viewfull=1#post2053218960)), the GAME STORY (here (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?131243-Star-Wars-Fall-of-the-Order-in-play&p=2053219084&viewfull=1#post2053219084)), the HELPFUL INFORMATION and the FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS section (here (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?131243-Star-Wars-Fall-of-the-Order-in-play&p=2053219085&viewfull=1#post2053219085)). If I get asked the same question repeatedly and it has been already answered, for my sanity I will simply direct you to this post and ask you to read the FAQ before asking your next question, not to be rude. I'll politely answer your question if I haven't already done so publicly no matter what, barring it is one I should not answer. I will be patient the first few times I get a redundant question, that's part of being a host.

STAR WARS INFORMATION
A lot of the information in this game is based on source information from Wookieepedia, the Star Wars Wikipedia. However, these characters will mostly not be ones you've ever heard of, so don't expect that you know who they are and what they are all about based on their name or their picture.
Here's a link to Wookieepedia. (here (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page))
Here are links to the 7 main Lightsaber forms of combat. Note that there will be others used in this game as well which I'm not going to inform you about other than this warning.

Note: Not all powers will be based on Wookieepedia's information!
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Q: Game seems complicated! HELP!!!
A: Well, that's not really a question, but... This game is nothing more than a glorified Rock, Paper, Scissors contest but with fancy names, and sometimes if one Rock is strong enough, it can crush another Rock (win drawn battles). Also, nobody begins the game knowing how it works. You're meant to know nothing, and learn and deduce as you go! Yes, you're supposed to feel helpless! Protip: Just focus on lynching the mafia!
Q: Hey, what's this all about?
Alter Damage- allows lightsaber combat victory to not be fatal (ACTIVE Defense)
A: Good question. Firstly, it's not actually a "defense", even though it takes up a defense slot if you use it. The objective here is, if you are attacked OR you face an opponent in a Jedi duel (tied lynch vote) then you have the option not to kill your opponent if you should happen to be victorious. Jedi Code and all that.
You don't have to exercise this option, in fact IF YOU DO, you'll be giving up one of your defense slots, possibly lowering them enough that your opponent will kill you, as they might not be as merciful.
But, young Jedi, it is your option... :quiet:
Q: Could you elaborate on the power of the lightsaber forms a bit? I'm kinda at lost how they work in comparison to the force powers.
A: If someone attacks you with a lightsaber, you will fend them off with your own lightsaber, unless you're using a defensive power that works better against the lightsaber attack than the saber form you chose. If someone attacks you with the Force, your lightsaber will usually not do much good, unless you're using a saber technique specifically designed to counter it. The two types of attack and defense intermingle, but they usually focus on same-type attacks/defenses. If you're a lightsaber master it will be more difficult to beat you with the lightsaber.
Q: Also, do the abilities become more powerful the longer one trains on one of the two paths or are they assigned randomly?
A: Abilities are assigned randomly, but if you're a higher ranked Jedi you will be able to randomly gain more advanced powers than others will. If you are assigned an ability you already have, and you qualify to get the next more advanced level of it, you will get it. You'll also get it if you happen to land directly on it and you have all the prerequisites for it, such as the previous, less advanced level.
Q: How does combat work?
A: Oh my, what a question. Sit down and order a few drinks, this could be a while.
If you are attacked by a lightsaber:
You have passive abilities (sometimes) which may aid in your survival. Those are always factored in, and don't need your instruction or choice between them.
You have active defenses (sometimes) which you apply automatically if you only have one, but if you have more, you must choose between them. Advanced ranks can use two defenses. If neither of those stop the saber,
You have active abilities (sometimes) which could have been used to target this player attacking you; but you cannot stop them this way. Roleblocks cannot block the person who is targeting the roleblocker, and you can't use a doctor-level defense on yourself, just your active defenses. Even counterattacking doesn't stop the attack. If someone else used an active ability on them, it may have stopped the attack by roleblock or by protection. But finally, if all else fails (and it usually does), then you must defend yourself with a lightsaber of your own.
The Saber Form you choose (if you have two to choose from) is the one you defend yourself with. Some forms are good at defending against certain attacks, others are not, and vice-versa. If your saber form is the right one, you will defend successfully. If it is not, your opponent (attacker) will defeat you and you will die.
If you are attacked by the Force:

Q: How is a fight between people without lightsabers and offensive powers conducted? I mean, the fight when there is a tie in lynch votes, I cannot think about other fight between people without offensive powers.
A: They will be given lightsabers for that battle only. But they won't be very proficient at using them unless they already have lightsaber-boosting powers.
Q: Is there any way of knowing or deciphering which force power or especially saber form is good against which? Or is it intentional that one has to shot in the dark when choosing which one to use?
A: It is a shot in the dark... ish.
The combat system is quite complex. The lightsaber combat portion factors in Level (Rank), Form (Saber form type), passive defenses, active defenses, etc.
It's sort of a shot in the dark, and meant to be. But there is a rigid, structured combat system.
Suppose you attempted to kill a Sith with your lightsaber, after getting such vigilante ability. But, your attempt fails, and the writeup seems to indicate what the problem was: The problem was that the form you chose was weak against the Sith's chosen form. The Sith fends you off, and you escape.
Now, you attack the Sith again, this time using a different form, but the Sith is ready for you, and chooses a lightsaber-style defense. The match-up is even, and the numbers are even. Now, you reach into your pocket and pull out a force ability which boosts your skill/rank temporarily (technically you chose it before the battle began) and the writeup reflects that the match was even, but that ability just barely put you over the top.
Now, the saber is knocked from his hand, and he is vulnerable. He drops to his knees and begs for mercy. As a Jedi, you're obligated to show him that mercy, aren't you?
Well you decide not to, and cut his head off. BOOM Headshot, and he's DEAD. And you've prevailed.
After the game is over I will reveal the intricate details of your battle with the Sith and explain to the losers why they lost.
Of course sometimes the match isn't even close to even, and the writeup will reflect one combatant brutalizing the other without giving many reasons why, except that they were outmatched in every way. This means, in all likelihood, the victim never would have won this match no matter what options they chose, so it wasn't their fault.
You will learn from the writeup clues what works and what doesn't, master Jedi.
Q: Do force powers that one can gain include active abilities and are those rarer than active defences and passive powers? Or is there the same likelihood of gaining any on of the three?
A: Active abilities are mostly your standard mafia-type powers like investigation, kill, protect, and so forth. Those are usually reserved for higher-ranked Jedi only, although there are a few low-level abilities given to certain lucky padawans and initiates.
Sometimes a Padawan or Initiate has innate abilities that go beyond their level, in fact most of them begin with an ability that is "ahead of their class" as a bonus. It softens the blow of being an Initiate or Padawan; getting one slightly more advanced power than they should otherwise have.
Otherwise, abilities are gained by Rank first, by specialization second, by randomness third, and by process of elimination fourth.
Active Abilities, Passive Defenses, Active Defenses, Saber Forms, etc, these are all equally likely to be gained if you are at the proper level to obtain them.
Q: How does one gain Jedi Ranks? Is this even possible or will I be my current rank for the rest of the game. I thought I read somewhere that people will be able to raise to higher ranks. is that possible or is there some secret mechanic involved in this? Is there anything I can do to help speed things along?
A: You can be promoted one of two ways:
1. Waiting, because it happens naturally over the course of several turns. Even Initiates can become the Grandmaster of the Order if they survive the whole way through.
2. Battlefield promotion. If your superiors die, you move up in seniority, and if a Padawan or better dies, an Initiate or better takes their place.
Nothing you do, save lynching your superiors or killing them off, promotes you faster, and I wouldn't necessarily recommend you kill off your superiors unless you have a reason for it.

Update: Game should open on the 24th or sooner, but 60+ role PMs will take me a while, especially the longer, more detailed ones. It could take several days to send them out, so I'm going to continue to accept some sign-ups but I'm sending out role PMs already, and I will close sign-ups very shortly.

https://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb225/askthepizzaguy/Star%20Wars/Penance-015.png
Nomi Sunrider gathered the Jedi Council together, inviting the Jedi Padawans and Jedi Initiates to participate in this most urgent discussion as well.
"You all know why we are here. It seems that the Sith were not all destroyed when Sith Lord Kyp Durron was blown out into the vacuum of space, as I originally thought. Somehow, somewhere in the galaxy, there still must have been at least one Sith still standing. But we know from the security recordings that there are at least two now, a Master and an Apprentice. These Sith killed Masters Vrook and Vandar while they were viewing the Sith Holocron. That Holocron has now been stolen as well. With the communications disruption, and other attacks on the defense systems of Coruscant, we know that they are planning to invade. While we are out of communication with nearby Star Systems and sensor grids, the corridors between Star Systems are now dangerous to travel. There could be rogue comets or asteroids, pockets of metreon gas, or other bits of space debris which are no longer being identified by the sensor network. If our ships travel through Hyperspace and end up colliding with any of these pockets of matter, there won't be anything left of our ships.
As such, we are alone. The Republic has been at peace for so long, and the Senate has not approved the use of Galactic funds for a garrison defending Coruscant, that we are the only capable Star Destroyer within range of the Capitol. That means it's up to us to defend Coruscant with our lives. There are several hundred Jedi Fighters in the Hangar Bays, and this ship is equipped with the most powerful shields the Republic has ever built. Even by ourselves, we are a formidable defense. But we suspect that the Sith have somehow sneaked aboard, and that presents a grave danger to us all, and a grave danger to the Republic. This is an emergency situation. We believe the Sith are actually some of our own... though it pains me to say it, I witnessed the power of the Dark Side firsthand in my last encounter with the Sith. In the end, the Jedi had turned against themselves. The Dark Side will turn our friends and allies against each other, and it must be stopped, whatever the cost.
I have communed with Grandmaster Yoda, who spoke to me from the Netherworld of the Force. He told me that for lack of better options, we must keep our faith in the Light Side of the Force. He reminded me of what I said the last time this happened... 'a Jedi's life is sacrifice'. These words will have new meaning for you today. We must search our feelings, and trust them to guide us down the path. If we sense that one of us has turned to the Dark Side, then we must act immediately. The survival of the Republic is at stake. We must take the most drastic measures to rid ourselves of the Sith. If it has been determined by a plurality of the Jedi Council, including the Padawans and Initiates, that one of us is a Sith Lord, then they are to be captured and dragged to the nearest air lock, and cast into space. I seem to remember that last time, this did not always kill our Sith foes, and we needed to repeat the exercise until they were finally put to rest. But if necessary, some of us are currently armed with lightsabers. If we must resort to violence to bring the Force back into balance, then we must. Some of the more rigid rules of the Jedi Code are going to be relaxed for the duration of this mission. If we do not stop the Sith, there will be no more Jedi to obey the Code anyway.
Begin making your accusations. I must retire to my quarters and meditate on this some more. Tonight, I will ask some of you to come train with me in a secluded location of the ship, and I will teach you more from the Jedi Holocron. May the Force be with us all."
With that, she turned and walked to the turbolift, accompanied by two Jedi Masters. The other Jedi began to discuss who among them might be guilty.

6. I do not allow Vote: No Lynch as an option. Period. You cannot defeat the Sith without lynching. You may abstain, however.
You can abstain from voting, but I will have a lynch candidate regardless. The only way to avoid a daily death is if the vote is tied and both combatants survive the duel.
Suppose everyone abstains, or I get a three way tie; I'd then ask the Sith who they want dead, privately, and that person would be lynched instead, to make it even less advantageous to the Jedi.
I'm big on death this time.

If you guys have any questions don't hesitate to ask me privately, and if I think it is a great question I will post it publicly with an answer, modified of course to mask its source.
Also REMINDER: Those of you who need to choose whether or not they specialize in Saber, Force, Balanced, (etc) should submit their choices ASAP. Very few of you need to, this does not apply to Padawans and Initiates.

A: The first day is approx. 48 hours so that people will be able to vote even though the game started a little early.
A: You can't edit out votes, and you can't edit them in either. But, I made an exception for Raskolnikov who tried to vote but failed to do so in proper format. As long as you fix it right away that's fine, but I'd prefer to keep things more strict from now on. Everyone should be familiar with the voting procedure by now, except the newcomers.

Also, an announcement if I may:
Several players incorrectly got "Force Meld" assigned to the "Active Defense" section of their role PM. That is not accurate. It is supposed to be an "Active Ability".
The next role PM update I send you will correct the error.

I am getting this question A LOT, so I'm posting it here and adding it to the FAQ post (post 3 of this thread).
Keep the questions coming. Better to ask now so you can know for later.

Ras and I go way back, and I'm not about to stand back while he gets lynched just for being new around these parts.
As for pever, he was getting votes and took an easy opportunity to call someone else scum, but didn't back up his words with a vote.
That's not much of a reason, but it's better than the case against Ras.

Nomi Sunrider gathered everyone together, next to one of the unused hangar bays. Through the airlock, it opened up into a huge contained space, where larger shuttles would dock. In that chamber, the only thing separating the pressurized environment from the vacuum of space was a vast force field, and the massive hangar bay doors. Nomi entered her security password, and the hangar bay doors began to open.
"Have we reached a verdict?" Nomi asked.
The Jedi took a vote, and it turned out that they were undecided, having narrowed it down to two potential candidates. Neither candidate managed to garner very many votes, either. Many Jedi abstained from voting altogether, seemingly unconvinced that this path was the correct way to solve the mystery of the Sith.
"No we have not, Grandmaster." said the ranking Jedi Master.
"Who are the leading candidates?" Nomi said.
"Mas Amdu Kof, and Jacin Sky, your grace."
"Very well. Let the accused have a chance to defend themselves." Nomi said, and motioned for the two suspects to plead their case.
Jacin Sky: "This Reptilian scoundrel is no true Jedi. He seems to fear death. Fear leads to anger, and he has shown himself to be very angry with this entire proceeding!"
Mas Amdu Kof: (puffing his cheeks) "This is an outrage! The Hyoo-mon is provoking me! The only reason why he's even accusing me is because a bunch of others accused him. It is not I, Grandmaster, who fears death, but him! I am ready to give my life for the Jedi Order." (Mas Amdu snaked his tongue out at Jacin Sky, and flicked it up and down)
Nomi Sunrider shook her head. "Is this any way for Jedi to behave? Control yourselves, gentlemen. How do we resolve this situation? I wanted a clear decision, and I'd rather not leave the life of a Jedi up to a matter of chance."
Mas Amdu Kof: "I've been preparing for this moment since I began growing this beard. Allow me to settle this with a lightsaber, Grandmaster Nomi. May the better Jedi prevail." (puffing his cheeks)
Jacin Sky: "Grandmaster, I do not agree with this course of action. This is barbarism, pure and simple."
Nomi Sunrider nodded. "I do not like resolving things this way, Master Sky. That is why I asked for a clear plurality, so that we could perform this necessary act in the most civil and non-violent way possible. Instead, you have forced my hand, and because I do not gamble with the lives of fellow Jedi, this matter can only be resolved in a contest of skill with the lightsaber and knowledge of the Force. May the Force be with you, Master Sky."
Nomi turned and addressed Kof. "I will grant your request, Master Kof. You may borrow my lightsaber for this contest; may the Force be with you as well. Here are the ground rules: You must both enter the hangar bay from opposite ends, taking with you only your lightsabers and your knowledge of the Force. You will not tear this ship apart in your duel, focus only on each other. When your opponent yields, I encourage you to follow the Jedi Code and spare his life. However, if you feel your opponent will stop at nothing to kill you, you may defend your life with necessary action. You will not prolong his suffering, but make a clean cut which brings instant and painless death. Is that fully understood, gentlemen?"
Both combatants nodded grimly. Nomi handed Mas Amdu Kof her green Lightsaber. Jacin Sky flew down the corridor to the opposite end of the hangar bay, to approach from that end.

Lightsaber Battle: Raskolnikov versus pevergreen
Click for Music (http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/148556)
Jacin Sky entered from the port side of the hangar bay, and Mas Amdu Kof entered from the starboard side. The hum of the force field several hundred feet away, and the roar of the life support systems overhead were the only sounds to be heard. Mas Amdu Kof bowed respectfully to Jacin Sky, and then ignited Nomi Sunrider's green lightsaber, and curled up into a meditative stance, focusing mind and body for battle.
https://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb225/askthepizzaguy/Star%20Wars/greenlightsaber.png
Jacin Sky stood in a standard Form III defensive pose, saber above his head, and waited for the reptilian creature to get on with it. Without warning, the snake-like creature uncoiled, and rushed in a zig-zag pattern across the empty hangar bay with blinding speed. Jacin had no way of knowing if the creature would attack from the left or the right. Reacting quickly, Jacin Sky performed a backward force-assisted leap, braced himself against the port side of the hangar bay, and launched himself over the head of the twin-tailed Kof. Mas Amdu swung the brilliant green saber, missing Jacin Sky by mere inches.
Mas Amdu turned around, easily rotating his limber body 180 degrees without a moment's hesitation, and located his opponent in the middle of the hangar bay, still in the Form III defensive pose, this time seemingly ready for his attack. The two combatants rushed one another, and the green sabers met each other with the familiar clashing noise. Mas Amdu Kof was clearly the aggressor, pressing Jacin Sky backward. Jacin, for his part, deflected the reptilian's attacks with ease, giving ground but matching him swing for swing with a minimum of extra movement.
Jacin suddenly looked left, with surprise and alarm, sensing danger. Mas Amdu felt it too, and twisted his body around suddenly to meet the new threat, lightsaber at the ready.... but nothing was there. Taken by surprise, Mas Amdu felt the searing heat of a lightsaber slicing clean through one of his tails. Mas Amdu roared with contempt, and twisted around before Jacin Sky could do any further damage, meeting his lightsaber before it made the killing blow.
"That will grow back, you know. I can't say the same for your appendages when I am finished with you, Sky." growled Kof.
"Yield now. There's nothing left to prove here."
"This is only the beginning!" shouted Kof, who tapped even deeper into the force.... summoning Force Valor. He continued the assault on Sky, but the balance of power had shifted. Mas Amdu was moving faster and more aggressively than before, and his movements were more precise, more deadly, and more difficult to deflect. Jacin Sky tapped into his more advanced training, and dodged ever more swiftly and performed more agile maneuvers to duck the wild, powerful swings of his opponent. One such swing grazed his hair, burning off a few inches of it. That one could have been lethal.
"You've become very strong, Kof.... but your training is incomplete. You must yield! Now!" demanded Sky.
"You're one of them, Sky! You're one of the Sith, and I will prove it to them. You cannot deceive me, hyoo-mon! You're going to pay for the Jedi you've killed!" roared Kof.
"That's enough!! I order you to stand down!" barked Sky.
"Never! I will not be commanded by Sith SCUM!!!!" replied the reptilian, forcing Jacin Sky into a corner of the hangar bay, and raising up on his long, muscular tail, towering over Jacin Sky, reaching several meters in height, blocking all escape routes. There was no way out but through. Kof swung Nomi Sunrider's green saber as hard as he could, and Jacin Sky closed his eyes.
The lightsaber deflected off of Jacin Sky's shoulder, causing a deep wound, but not cutting clean through. The sudden impact jerked the green saber backward in Mas Amdu Kof's hand, causing him to lose his grip. His reptilian claws could not grip the unfamiliar blade properly. Jacin Sky wasted no time, bringing his own saber through the wrist of Mas Amdu, then twisting his body and delivering a horizontal cut which separated the huge reptilian from the lower half of his body. Nomi's lightsaber went clattering to the ground, as the reptilian man tried to slither out of range of Jacin Sky's attack. The reptile reached out with the Force, and pulled the lightsaber back to him with his remaining hand, igniting it as it reached his grip. He rolled over to see Jacin Sky flying through the air, landing directly over his prone body, delivering another clean cut, removing the reptile's other hand. Mas Amdu Kof spat furiously at his Jedi opponent, and vowed that it wasn't over.
"I am not finished with you, Sky! In just a few moments, I'll have all my limbs back, and then I will have my revenge."
"When did you lose your way, Kof?" demanded Sky.
"It's not me who has lost his way, hyoo-mon! Do it, you coward.... you found your way to escape death, but you cannot fool me. Now show the Jedi your true nature.... finish me!"
"It's not the Jedi way. It's not my way." said Sky.
"Liar." hissed Kof, just as his tail began to regenerate, and summon his lightsaber again. The weapon landed tightly in the coiled grip of the bearded reptilian, who looked at Jacin Sky with victorious eyes.
The sound of a lightsaber cutting through flesh, and another clattering to the ground, echoed throughout the hangar bay. The Jedi had been slain.
_________
Jacin rolled back to his feet, and looked back at his fallen opponent. He had delivered the killing blow just in time, and removed the reptile's head cleanly. His shoulder was a little worse for wear, but it was nothing that the medical droids couldn't fix. He bowed to his fallen opponent, and switched his saber emitter off, and collected Nomi Sunrider's lightsaber from the hangar deck, and walked back to her to return it.

I am very sorry if my post was or even could be interpreted as an affront, you were one of my last choices for a lynch. I would actually prefer Secura walks the plank to be honest because I don't see how voting for yourself helps the town er... Star Destroyer
However, at that point there is very little chance of Secura winning in the polls so I chose to even up the vote rather than let a bandwagon off a potentially valuable player
I felt that a duel will decrease the chances that a more important player will die (assuming that more important players have higher skill) so I felt it would be the lesser of two (or three) evils... My apologies for how the duel turned out though :shame:
Honestly I have no idea how well you play but I look forward very much to finding out
and darn the time difference, I almost got this in before the thread was closed before the fight and I thought I had an hour :embarassed:
So the write-up made them both seem rather skilled although they both made some mistakes. However since Raskolnikov was just an initiate so I'm not sure how much we can rely on writeups to tell us a Jedi's power. peever did have a lightsaber form though so that means he's at least a padawan, right? Or do you have to be a knight before you get a specialized form?

Pever was also holding back, that was quite plain to see, so it's obvious there was a difference between them. The duels will tell of who is stronger or luckier, but never will they tell if the victor is Sith. They are a cheap investigation for the wrong side - telling whom the most worrisome targets are and what holes they may have in their defenses at the towns expense.
Sorry for being late to D1, but I had issues with acquiring internet access. I'd have voted for a tie in any case, to better understand the mechanics - better now then later when the consequences may be dire.

If I had been in time I would have picked pevergreen to die over Ras.
However, in the writeup, pever strikes me as seemingly very Jedi-esque. He even gives the impression of wanting to spare his opponent, although it wasn't possible, and on top of that, he's a padawan (EDIT: Or master?) and carries a green blade. I say we trust him, for now. We need new suspects looked in the cards tomorrow, not a revote of pever. Coincidentally, I rather like the duelling, although it will be hard to maintain a tie if we somehow catch a sith by chance since his partner might do his best to save him. But it gives us some information about the surviving player.
Also: Ras dying first, by lynch even, in his first game here. :shame:, guys.

Awesome battle, pizza. It's a real pity that Ras had to go so soon, but at least you sent him out in style.
I'd prefer we stick to more important stuff, like discussing how D_E should be lynched.
I propose he'll be forced to eat his own legs and pizza writes a delicous recipe that can also be used for cooking a steak.
Or how about killing him by sleep deprivation, caused by a small cute creature that awakes him every two hours or so and forces him to run around in a cold kitchen wearing only his pijama.

At one point, it is mentioned that "green lightsabers clash" or somesuch. Correct me if I'm mistaken, but I definately had the impression that pevergreen's lightsaber was green as well.

Scum, scummier, scummiest :stare:
voted for herself I guess. Not a bad reason imo
I must have missed the meeting where that was labelled as inherently scummy, particularly during the first day phase. ¬_¬
I would actually prefer Secura walks the plank to be honest because I don't see how voting for yourself helps the town er... Star Destroyer
I don't see how two massive bandwagons on Day One help either, but there you go; it was a throwaway vote that could have gone anywhere, and I chose myself to see who might bite. It isn't behaviour that's going to extend into multiple rounds because that isn't how I play; all the information I need for my next vote is in-thread now.
However, if you all want to push my lynch for Day Two, knock yourselves out; you'll be killing a townie (in fact, with the exception of a defensive ability, it's pretty much the same naff role I had last time), but at this stage in the game and with so many players remaining, you can afford a few mislynches, so why not?
T'isn't like I'm a valuable player or anything, right?
However, at that point there is very little chance of Secura winning in the polls so I chose to even up the vote rather than let a bandwagon off a potentially valuable player
You should have voted for me anyway if that was truly your inclination, encouraged others to do so and watched pevergreen slaughter me in a duel instead.
Also: Ras dying first, by lynch even, in his first game here. :shame:, guys.
These games are cursed; Husar was a Night One kill in the previous iteration, on his return to mafia... Gameroom hospitality at it's absolute finest.

Why so fatalistic? Defend yourself! We don't want people starting to think that you're a better lynch than D_E or Csargo.
Why Csargo? He mentioned the MUFFIN MAN. 'Muff said.
I'm not important as I'm of the lowest rank, so go right ahead. I have Force Breath, though, so, well, we could spend our time better.
So you're claiming to be an Initiate with the ability that grants immunity to one lynch?
You're basically saying to the mafia "I can't function as lynchbait but I'm an easy kill"; I think you're a valuable player that shouldn't be making such a move if you were town... so why reveal that piece of information in-thread?
The town might want to lynch me, but on the off-chance that they decide not to, I'll at least have kept my own defenses secret from the Sith, so I'll have a slightly better chance of winning the rock-paper-scissors outcome if they do attack me than if I told everyone in-thread.
Why so fatalistic? Defend yourself!
Without a bit of luck for the rock-paper-scissors throw, I'm going to be as easy a kill for the Sith as I was in the previous game; that's why I'm a little 'fatalistic', I don't have high expectations of prolonged survival. :P
FoS : Diamondeye
I say we lynch you next round.
Agreed, though I'd also settle for pever for being the main contributor to turning my welcome to the .org vote into a lynch-decider. I still can't believe that happened.
As for Diamondeye -- the write-up makes pever seem very Jedi? You really think ATPG would hint otherwise if pever is a Sith? Really?
Secura -- I have to admit that your self-vote rubbed me the wrong way, too. I'd have changed my vote to you yesterday if I had been able.

I've seen games where they do, games where they don't.
He places clues sometimes, not others. You know him. We could look at it either way.
Write-ups are only there for your amusement, not for clues.
Even if there are clues in it, you'll probably miss them and will label some random phrase as a "clue".
Example from the famous game Star Wash Product: Whiter than White :
The guy with a red skin with black dots who had "Sith Lord" written on his forehead, also known as Diamondeye, was weilding a green lightsabre.
He had a green lightsabre, so he must be innocent!!!
I can't believe you guys missed my subtle hint and focused on the green lightsabre thing. I would have thought you'd figure it out from the write-up that D_E was scum. You should have listenend to the brilliant genius Andres.
Apologies for missing the vote, didn't log onto the forums over the weekend due to New Vegasitis. Forunately, I got here in time to submit my kill orders for this evening. Tonight, I will kill someone whose name has a vowel in it.
Sleep tight!

I know it sucks to be lynched round 1 and it sucks even more if it happens in your first game, but don't feel too bad about it. Being lynched round 1 usually happens for some crappy reason and most of the time it's kinda random. Being dead doesn't prevent you from playing in this game though (but granted: being alive is usually more fun (being dead is only more fun than being alive when you're a confirmed mafioso and enjoy being an evil disruption for town efforts)). I hope this unfortunate event won't stop you from playing mafia in the GR; it is great fun. And  to all those voting the new guy in his first game. I thought that by now, it was an unwritten rule not to kill/lynch a new player round/night 1 in his first game.
Andres, leave me alone :( What did I ever do to you? Well, except for that one time, but I thought we moved past that...
It's exactly because it never became more than that one time :mecry: You decided to no longer love, so now you'll die. You also mentioned the muffin man which is bad.

I was thinking of shortening this night phase by 24 hours, if everyone with an active ability gets their order in on time.
I want to keep the pace of the game quick. It will be a long game, so any lull in the action will be felt.
I've sent in my orders, so might as well end the night phase here and now, post the lynching scene of DE and then make the final post with your the set-up of the game and your reflections on what happened ("Andres came, saw and conquered").

What case? Since when do we need a case to lynch somebody? What's next? Evidence?
It is foolishness to ignore evidence, even early on in a huge game like this. The facts speak for themselves. I had a container of strawberry yogurt in the fridge at work, with my name written on it in permanent marker. This morning, it was gone and in the trash was the tinfoil top from a container of strawberry yogurt. One of my coworkers informed me that DE was seen rooting around in the fridge earlier this morning. I know for a fact that DE has never left any food in the work fridge; indeed in the past I've heard rumors that he openly mocks people who bring their lunch to work. He had no reason to be in the fridge at all, yet he was there, and now my yogurt is gone. I do not believe in coincidences.

You're basically saying to the mafia "I can't function as lynchbait but I'm an easy kill"; I think you're a valuable player that shouldn't be making such a move if you were town... so why reveal that piece of information in-thread?
Yes, that's what I'm saying. Only people - lots of influential and good players at that - seem to take that as a reason I should be lynched.
Why shouldn't I make such a move as town? It'd be suicide as mafia, that's for sure. This ends in one of two ways; I die and turn up Jedi, and people trust me past that, or people decide to trust me and not pursue me.
In case of the second outcome, the mafia will have to waste a kill on me.
But thanks for your kind words, Secura  I fear I am not worthy of such praise, since I seem to be doing the sith a favour by acting as a distraction. That is how I play, though. If I want to live to the endgame (like, if I'm mafia), I stay quiet. As a disposable townie, I don't have the same obligation to stay alive.
Really?
Yes, I explained my honest impressions of the writeup. No, I don't think Pizza would explicitly expose a sith, but these duels tell us that even when his life is in danger, pevergreen's character...
i) Tries to spare the life of his opponent
ii) Uses a force power that has no aggressive dimension
and iii) Utiliizes a defensive lightsaber style
I think that's good enough that we don't have to get back on the peverwagon tomorrow but can instead pursue other suspects.
We never heard about such a thing

I don't see how two massive bandwagons on Day One help either, but there you go; it was a throwaway vote that could have gone anywhere, and I chose myself to see who might bite. It isn't behaviour that's going to extend into multiple rounds because that isn't how I play; all the information I need for my next vote is in-thread now.

Alright, now on to more serious matters. It doesn't look like I'm going to get everyone's orders in the next 4 hours, so we'll have to endure another day most likely.
I am going to close the discussion because it's getting a bit spam-laden in here (my fault) and there's really nothing new to discuss. If I get all orders in, I'll send out all the results, do the writeup, and open the day phase early.
Player with vision or healing: I'm waiting on you. Send it in.
We'll try to get all results for tomorrow night sent in early or during the first half of the night phase, I hope, to keep the game moving.

NOTE: All genders will be referred to as "he" for the purposes of maintaining both a readable story and keeping true identities hidden. If gender becomes apparent, it will be reflected in the writeup, but unless otherwise stated, "he" could mean male or female. Blame the English language for having very few gender-neutral pronouns to choose from. Further, Sith are not above using male or female identities as cover roles. Gender means nothing in this game.

Kerren Kae was heading back to his quarters after training under the tutelage of Nomi Sunrider. There was just enough time left before the morning shift to get some sleep. It had been a long and stressful day. He felt as if he was being watched, so he began to hurry. When he turned the corner and started down the next corridor, he looked up and he saw that the corridor lights had been disabled, and a cloaked figure blocking the hall. The being ignited its lightsaber, and a brilliant red glow illuminated the corridor.
https://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb225/askthepizzaguy/Star%20Wars/Sith.png
<object style="height: 390px; width: 640px"><param name="movie" value="https://www.youtube.com/v/h2mO4ZHWK-U?version=3"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"><embed src="https://www.youtube.com/v/h2mO4ZHWK-U?version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="640" height="25"></object>
Kerren Cae was not armed with a saber, and turned around to retreat the way he came, down the side corridor, but the blast doors slammed shut as if commanded by an unseen power. The dark figure approached, holding his blade in a classic Form I pose. Kerren Cae bolted down the main corridor in the opposite direction, but the blast doors on the far side were shut as well. "What's wrong, Jedi? Forget your lightsaber?" laughed the dark figure. Kerren Cae dropped to the floor and began to meditate. "Not even going to fight back? What a joke. Very well, if the little bantha wants to be slaughtered, that's fine with me." The dark figure cackled as he advanced, swinging the crimson blade, gouging holes in the duranium deck plating with ease, showering the meditating Jedi with sparks. The creature raised his blade, and prepared to impale it straight through Kerren Cae's chest, when suddenly Kerren's eyes opened and he rolled to the side, missing certain death by the tiniest fraction of a second. Kae kicked the lightsaber out of the hands of his attacker, and rolled backwards and into a standing position, fists raised.
The Sith was upon him in an instant, powered by a burst of force energy that made him move faster than the eye could see, especially in the darkness. A palm outstretched, the blow landed in the center of the Jedi's chest, knocking him backward and into the blast door, almost knocking him out cold. The Sith reached for his lightsaber and pulled it toward him with the Force, only to be tackled from behind by the unarmed Jedi. The two force-sensitives grappled as they rolled on the deck, the crimson blade slamming repeatedly into the deck, melting the metal and burning the robes of the two combatants. Kerren grasped the Sith's blade and tried to force it back and away from his face, but the Sith shifted positions and slammed the Jedi back down onto the deck, and pushed down with his full weight, trying to decapitate Cae.
Cae lifted his legs and threw the Sith off of him and over his head, both of them still gripping the saber. They rolled laterally into an upright position and tried to pry each other's hands off of the weapon. The Sith looked at Cae, eyes burning with hatred. Cae merely concentrated on tearing the weapon away from the Sith. The Sith grinned, baring its inhuman fangs, and rose up off of the ground, still clinging to its weapon, but releasing the grip ever so slightly. The Jedi braced himself and tore the weapon away from the Sith as hard as he could, just as the Sith released it voluntarily, causing the Jedi to roll backwards and out of range, and the crimson emitter to shut off automatically. The Sith laughed. "What are you going to do now, Jedi? Surely you don't know how to use such a weapon? Why don't you give it back to me, before you hurt yourself?"
Kerren didn't listen to the taunting of the Sith, and retained his focus. He switched the crimson blade back on, and began moving clumsily toward the dark figure, blade raised. The creature simply laughed and gathered dark Force energy, and unleashed it in the direction of the Jedi hopeful. Kerren reacted quickly, artfully dodging the attack and running up the side of the corridor wall, to avoid being hit by the close-quarters blast. The Jedi was only a dozen feet away from the Sith now, charging as fast as he could. The dark figure released another volley, which knocked the crimson blade out of Kerren's hands. The Sith reached out and grabbed the Jedi, and used his own momentum to hurl him down the corridor, slamming his head against the blast door control panel. The blast doors slid open, giving Kerren the opportunity to escape. He pulled himself out of a daze and tried to escape, just as a third blast of dark energy hit him in the back, ripping his body apart and shattering bone. Kerren Cae was killed instantly.
The Sith called his lightsaber back to him, and walked calmly back into the darkness, slightly displeased that his robes had gotten singed.

Si-At Unesh was elsewhere on the Star Destroyer, silently meditating by himself, watching the stars from an observation room. He heard the sound of the door sliding open, and heard a figure enter the room with him. Si-At said nothing, and did not even turn around.
"You will look me in the eye, Jedi, so I can remember your face long after you've met your death." commanded the dark figure. The elderly man ignored the command. The dark figure ignited its red lightsaber, and repeated the order. "Turn around and meet your destiny." Si-At continued to say nothing, and silently meditated. "Very well, if you will not turn around, then you will meet your destiny like a coward." The dark figure lifted a hand, and all the chairs and tables in the room flew against the starboard bulkhead, with a loud crashing noise, leaving only the meditating Jedi and the Sith, and empty deck space. The figure held his saber in a Form III stance, and grinned as he prepared to destroy the Jedi.
Si-At rose at last, and turned to face his attacker, unleashing a stream of positively-charged particles, attempting to stun the dark figure, but they were easily dispersed with no ill effect. "What? Is that all you've got, you foolish old man? Don't worry, I'll put you out of your misery, just hold still...." Si-At rolled to dodge the swing of the blade, and attempted to run out of the observation room, but the door slid shut before he could escape. He turned and unleashed another stream of positively-charged particles, again with no effect. The Sith just cackled and cut the old man down, severing him from the middle of his chest to the opposite shoulder, killing him instantly.

Jax Revus had almost returned to his quarters after a busy night, but when he tried his door code, he found that it had been changed without his permission. He snarled in frustration. Then, without warning, he sensed danger and looked around, startled.
"Do you need some assistance, Master Revus?" said a voice from behind him. Jax immediately began to smile and regard his fellow Jedi warmly. "Why yes, it seems my door code has been changed. Do you know how to unlock it, Master....?"
"What's wrong, don't you recognize me?" asked the unknown figure.
"....my memory isn't what it used to be. Your species all look alike to me, and I have trouble remembering names. No offense intended, Master."
"None taken." grinned the figure. He ignited his purple lightsaber.
https://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb225/askthepizzaguy/Star%20Wars/lightsaber_violet.png
Revus was taken by surprise by this move, and slowly backed away. "Surely it won't be necessary to cut the door open, Master.... I'll just change the code down at the Security station. Thanks again for your help."
"No..... no..... not at all. I insist." grinned the figure, as he walked menacingly toward Revus. At this point Revus frowned and ignited his yellow lightsaber. "Who are you, really, Master Jedi?" asked Revus. "I could ask you the same question, Master Revus."
Revus' eyes began to darken, and he snarled again. "Are you threatening me, Master Jedi?"
"You've demonstrated a mastery of the obvious, Master Revus." remarked the figure.
"Very well. Killing another Jedi tonight won't exactly be a stain on my conscience...." cackled Jax Revus, as he ignited a second lightsaber, in his other hand, a crimson one.
https://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb225/askthepizzaguy/Star%20Wars/lightsaber-red.png
The figure with the purple saber stopped grinning, suddenly realizing that $#!% just got real.
"What's wrong, Master Jedi? Didn't you come to kill a Sith? What makes you hesitate? Could it be that cowardly Jedi fear welling up inside you? Perhaps you feel pained by the news of the death of your fallen comrade? Or perhaps you've got a hangnail? DO YOU MISS YOUR MOMMY???"
"Why don't you shut your mouth, before I remove it from your skull?" sneered the Jedi.
"Oh ho ho ho! I see that unlike some of the other... pathetic... life forms on this ship, you actually have some iron. I like that. It's such a shame I'm going to have to kill you." lamented the Sith, sarcastically.
"I wouldn't count on it, you Pakuunian Pig-rat." spat the figure.
"What language, Master Jedi. Did they teach you that in finishing school? And what does the Jedi code say about murdering people without a trial? Do you really think the Council is going to let you get away with this?" taunted the Sith.
"Why don't you just shut up and die, traitor?"
"Good, Master Jedi. There might be hope for you yet. Use your aggressive feelings, you miserable blood-worm. Let go of your Jedi training.... do what must be done. That is the way of the Sith. Perhaps you should consider a career change?"
"Perhaps you should consider what your LAST WORDS are going to be!" shouted the attacker, as he raised his purple saber in a Form III pose, and began to strike at his target. The Sith raised his lightsabers in a Form I stance, and began to defend himself against the quick, precise swings of his attacker. The Sith countered all of them easily, albeit giving ground in the process, and continued grinning grimly.
"Good.... you have controlled your fear. Now, release your anger. Only your hatred can destroy me, Master Jedi."
"Or perhaps he can." said the figure, smugly, looking behind the Sith.
"What? More pathetic sheep to be slaughtered? Outstanding! My master will be so pleased." said the Sith, as he turned his head, but there was no one there. The sound of a lightsaber cutting through bone startled the Sith, who looked and saw that his yellow lightsaber, and the hand that was holding it, had been removed. "How??? That's impossible! ...YOU'RE GOING TO PAY FOR THAT, YOU WRITHING MASS OF RANCOR DROPPINGS!!!"
The figure with the purple lightsaber just grinned wickedly. "I don't think so."
The Sith tossed his red saber into the air, and made a violent pushing motion towards his attacker, shoving him down onto the deck with a massive Force Push, and then caught his saber and swung at the prone figure, just as he rolled out of the path of danger. Sparks flew everywhere, as the Sith advanced, preparing to slaughter the impudent wretch. The figure with the purple lightsaber rolled to his feet, and immediately charged the Sith, swinging his saber in a bright purple blur. The evenly-matched foes battled for some time, but the attacker gained the upper hand by wearing down his opponent. There was only so much the Sith could do to defend with his remaining hand. In an instant, a powerful clash of the sabers forced his blade down, and a quick twist of the wrist caused the Sith's arm to be separated at the shoulder. Then his attacker kicked him in the teeth, knocking him down. The Sith simply laughed at the victorious figure looming over him.
"Let your passions control you. Take your Jedi weapon, strike me down with it, and take my place at my Master's side. Soon, your journey toward the Dark Side will be complete."
"I wouldn't count on that either, you Sith scum." grinned the figure, as he lowered the purple saber into the Sith's throat.

Elsewhere, Jacin Sky returned to his quarters, exhausted from a long night of activity. When he entered, he sensed that something was wrong, and sure enough the doors closed and locked by themselves. A blue lightsaber ignited, in the darkness, and the assassin charged toward Jacin Sky, holding his blade in a manner associated with Form II. Jacin Sky ignited his lightsaber as well, and the two combatants began to duel furiously. They were evenly-matched, meeting each other swing for swing, step for step.
https://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb225/askthepizzaguy/Star%20Wars/lightsaberblue.png
In the dark, Jacin could not see his attacker, and his attacker said nothing. Jacin's training wasn't able to force an escape... and so he had to improvise. They fought on, Jacin giving ground and his assailant pursuing. Jacin was backed into his furnishings, and was forced to walk across a giant glass tabletop. The movement was fluid and steady, and the action continued as they fought across its surface. Suddenly Jacin ducked a swing, and impaled the saber through the tabletop, shattering it under the weight of the two combatants. They both fell to the ground, as the figure with the blue lightsaber tried to make his killing blow.... but no one was there. He looked around, trying to locate Sky, and then noticed that the door to Jacin's quarters had been cut open, and Jacin had escaped. His attacker didn't even see him leave.

Much later on that night, Carnus Daye woke from his rest, feeling an uncomfortable weight on his chest. For an instant, he thought he might be having a heart attack, but the sudden flash of a red lightsaber igniting under his chin caused him to freeze, and realize that an assassin was literally lying right on top of him, staring him coldly in the face.
https://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb225/askthepizzaguy/Star%20Wars/Jedi-028-1.png
"I couldn't sleep anyways, could you?" smirked the assassin.
"Actually, I...." began the sleepy Jedi.
"SHUT UP! That was a rhetorical question. Now, something has been on my mind ever since we arrived on this Star Destroyer... and that's you. I just find you so fascinating." The assassin leaned forward, breathing those words into the face of the sleepy Jedi, in a lustful tone. "I want to know everything about you, Master Jedi. Your thoughts.... your feelings.... which of the other Jedi you think are cute.... if you ever want to have children, that sort of thing. Oh, and by the way, ARE YOU SITH???"
Carnus Daye: "Well, actually, I am not. Could you get off of me? Maybe... point that thing someplace else?"
Assassin: "Oh I rather like pointing it at you, Master Jedi. I like it a lot. You see, I've been under a lot of stress lately, and this whole Sith thing is just making it worse. I can't sleep, and if I can't sleep, no one sleeps, and I can't sleep until I find the Sith.... or someone else equally amusing. Now, Master Jedi, if that is your real identity, you'll answer this one question for me, and MAYBE I will let you live...." the assassin lowered the lightsaber until it was directly above the throat of the sleepy one.
https://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb225/askthepizzaguy/Star%20Wars/lightsaber_red.png
Carnus Daye: "Sure, sure, whatever you say... I'll talk!" yelped the would-be victim.
Assassin: "Do you know..... the Muffin man?"
Carnus Daye: ".....What?" :brood:
Assassin: "YOU WILL ANSWER ME OR DIE!!! Do you know the Muffin man?"
Carnus Daye: "The Muffin Man?"
Assassin: "The Muffin Man. DO YOU KNOW THE MUFFIN MAN!?"
Carnus Daye: "That lives on Drury lane? Oh yes, I know the Muffin man."
Assassin: "The Muffin man!"
Carnus Daye: "The Muffin man. Yes I know the Muffin man... who lives on Drury lane."
Assassin: "Well, 'Jedi', spill it, where is this Muffin man?"
Carnus Daye: "Okay, okay, I was just getting to that. You know Nomi Sunrider?"
Assassin: "Of course I do, what kind of deranged lunatic do you think I am?"
Carnus Daye: "Well, she's..... married to the Muffin man."
Assassin: "The Muffin man???"
Carnus Daye: "The Muffin man. She's married to the Muffin man."
<object style="height: 390px; width: 640px"><param name="movie" value="https://www.youtube.com/v/EQ9oHd_tySI?version=3"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"><embed src="https://www.youtube.com/v/EQ9oHd_tySI?version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="640" height="25"></object>
Assassin: "Who lives on Drury lane. Yes, it's all falling into place. Wait, WHAT WAS THAT??? Did you hear something?"
Carnus Daye: "No.... just the sound of your crazed, insane breathing."
Assassin: "It's here... The cute little creature; it has come to suck the life out of me, and give me gray hairs! it's been tormenting me for months!"
Carnus Daye: "Maybe you should get some sleep...."
Assassin: "THERE IS NO SLEEP!! Don't you realize? The cute little monster devours sleep, and swallows dreams! He's the source of all the madness! And I'm powerless to stop him!!!"
Carnus Daye: "Could you let me go, now? I told you where the Muffin man is..."
Assassin: "Yes, yes, you win this round, 'Jedi', but once I deal with the Muffin man and steal his magic bag of muffins, I'll be able to satiate the cute one, and then I'll be back to finish this."
Carnus Daye: "Sounds great."
Assassin: "Oh here, you can have your red florescent lamp back. Sorry I broke the lampshade off of it. I left it hanging somewhere over there."
With that, the dark assassin wearing pajamas sneaked off into the night, attempting to locate the kitchen. The would-be victim just rolled his eyes and attempted to get back to sleep.

Nomi Sunrider - Grandmaster of the Jedi Order
<object style="height: 390px; width: 640px"><param name="movie" value="https://www.youtube.com/v/FwZLaA5RoNA?version=3"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"><embed src="https://www.youtube.com/v/FwZLaA5RoNA?version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="640" height="25"></object>
Nomi Sunrider called the next meeting of the Jedi Council to order, and recounted the events of the previous night, as recorded in the Security Holograms. Everyone witnessed the strange and bizarre events of that night, and looked grimly upon seeing the deaths of their fellow Jedi.
"It seems that my nightly training session wasn't the only thing happening last night. All of these events happened after the training had been completed, so I cannot vouch for the innocence of anyone who attended. The security recordings have been garbled, and there's no way to determine who was behind the attacks. Internal sensors have also been knocked off-line by a mysterious saboteur. I am going to need to start assigning Jedi guards to cover the critical systems of the ship in shifts, but I am worried about the safety issues involved in spreading out all over the ship. There aren't enough of us to go in pairs and still be able to sleep in shifts, so you'll have to go alone.
We will need to accelerate the training regimen of every single Jedi hopeful here, in response to this attack. I don't feel comfortable handing out more lightsabers just now; you must be trained in the ways of the Jedi before I can authorize giving out such weapons. Believe me, it is for the best; while the deaths of our comrades is regrettable and we must do what we can to stop it from happening again, what will make our situation worse is if we give untrained force-sensitives the use of deadly weapons, as they will be easy prey for the Dark Side. We do not need to multiply our woes.
What I would like to address is the death of Jax Revus. It seems as though he was a Sith, an apprentice by what I could guess from the recording, and he was slain by someone holding a purple lightsaber. Now obviously I know everyone on the ship and what color their lightsaber is, but I must warn you Jedi, that is not a means of determining who has done this. Look at the fallen Sith for reasons why.... the Sith had two lightsabers, with a yellow and a red crystal. And, there are other lightsabers stored in a hidden location of this vessel, and crystals are easy enough for a Sith to switch out. Should you use the color of the lightsaber to determine who is responsible, you do so at your own peril and with my explicit warning that it may not always be accurate.
I would like to note that it is not the policy of this council to engage in vigilante killings of the Sith, as it goes against the Jedi code. However, I am unsure if I can really condemn anyone for using deadly force against a known Sith murderer. I do not condone it, but I will not condemn it, at least until there are no more Sith remaining. Several of you have use of new Force and Saber techniques, so use them wisely.
Finally, I have one last announcement, though I was reluctant to share this with you all, my closest advisers have talked me into it. I have been communing with Master Yoda, and during this communion I experienced a vision. I saw the future, because it was the will of the Force that I could see what will happen. One of you will betray me."
The Jedi began to murmur at the shocking announcement.
"Quiet please. This was unlike any other vision I have experienced. It was remarkably clear, clear enough that I could almost see who was responsible, but I could not. Nevertheless, I saw my destiny. Masters of the Order, I will meet my death very soon. I do not know exactly when or how, but I know I meet my end in battle. There will be an explosion, and I will be unable to avoid it, even though I know it is coming. While the future is always in motion, I have foreseen this future and it is inevitable.
As such, I will rank the Jedi Order by seniority, and the most senior Jedi Master will take my place as Grandmaster of the Order upon my death. Do not mourn me before my time, Master Jedi, and do not miss me when I am gone. Remember, fear, anger, jealousy, and attachment lead to the Dark Side. Revenge is not the Jedi way. Bring those responsible to justice, but do not let your passions sway you.... and beware of the Dark Side. It may seem quicker, and easier, but that is merely an illusion. Do not be seduced by the Dark Side.
Before I am gone, I will have found a way to counter its power. I have foreseen that as well. Now, I want you to discuss who these attackers could be. And I am ordering a certain Jedi to get some sleep before I force tranquilizers into his system. Begin discussion, I must retire to my quarters and sleep."
With that, Nomi Sunrider turned and left the chamber, with two Jedi Masters escorting her. They would return later and join in the discussion.

If you do not get an update, then you didn't learn a new ability.

I find it hilarious that Beskar is going to return from Israel on Friday, open his SW:FotO Role PM and jump right into the thread... only to find out he's been vigged on Night One; expect a strong metagaming argument when he does, unless he's too enraptured with Fable 3 to care. xD
Nonetheless, credit where it's due... good job, Sasaki.
