The Monastery is a secondary religious building available to Catholic and Orthodox factions. For Catholic factions, the Monastery gives the ability to recruit Inquisitors.
Building a Monastery in a province has many advantages. It increases the province's happiness level by 10% and it works to convert the province to the faction's faith. Units recruited in a province with a Monastery are inspired and get a +1 morale bonus.
The Monastery is the only structure in it's building line, so the provincial happiness bonus and conversion factors do stack with other religious structures. (Morale bonus does not stack, the UPGRADE_MORALE() raises to a ceiling, it's not really a plus, right?)
