My name is Mattias "Swedish" and not so diffrent from my acount name witch is my nick name and where you can figure out my age aswell. Im not the type for fantasy names or at least a new forum name for every forum im active one becuse thats pretty many. So i hope this one is aceepted.
Anyway:
Ive woud just like to add that this is a amazing mod! I was relly stunned the first hour that i played it. It is almost 100% the way i allways whanted RTW to be like and i will surely spend many hours on this mod and witch i will pop up on my top 5 mod list "Say good bye to Total Realism". I also glad to hear there will be a B2 in the future..
Oh enough typeing for this time i woud just like to anounce that you probably see me around from now on. Oh and keep up the amazing work! :smash:

I have been browsing thes forums for a couple of weeks now, in anticipation of getting a PC and playing RTW.
Well, I have both now, and RTW is great.
I am on my first short campaign as the Julii and things are going well after a rocky start and a few setbacks.

Hi all! I've been browsing here for a while...maybe a year or more. Played Shogun when it first came out, moved all the way to Rome. The past half year I've been on a Medieval binge...enjoying that game more than Rome. Haven't bought M2 yet...need to install a DVD drive, but when I do, it's the first game on my list.

I have been playing the total war series since the first medieval, and can say it is my favorite pc game out there so far. Playing medieval 2 now, and I still need to play multi-player, lol

Well, english is the official language around here, but when you are adressing a Dutch speaking Org member, you can put in a sentence or two in Dutch. As long as you follow the Org rules (no swearing, no spamming etc.), it's ok, no big deal.
Maar het is eigenlijk wel de bedoeling dat de communicatie hier in het Engels verloopt, behalve dan in de TYOLT-thread waar WH naar linkte. Maar het gebeurt weleens dat Nederlandstalige leden het zich niet kunnen laten om plots de gesprekken in een bepaalde draad verder in het Nederlands te voeren :grin:

Pay us a visit in the TYOLT once you became a full member, which will happen in a week or two/three at the most. Just keep posting on a regular basis, keep it friendly and civilised and you'll be promoted in no time.

Post on a regular basis, make usefull/helpfull posts, keep it friendly and civilised (no swearing, no spam, etc.) and you'll be promoted in no time. It usually takes two or three weeks.
In the meantime, you are allowed to post in all the subfora, except for the miscealleanous (non Total War-related) ones.
If you want to open a thread and you're not sure about where to open it, feel free to open it in the Entrance Hall. If necessary, the mods will move it to the appropriate subforum.
Some more info about member status:
Promotion to Member is based on participation, conduct and contributions in your posts. Quantity of posts doesn't matter - you could be promoted on the basis of one amazing post, although just showing the ability to interact with the membership in a helpful and polite manner is easily sufficient. In other words, you don't need to do something special, just enjoy yourself whilst following the Forum Rules above. Introducing yourself (if you have not already done so) in the HAIL New Members! (Introductions) III thread doesn't hurt either!
Promotions are handled manually by the Guild Staff, and are generally done en masse. So as a very quick rule of thumb: if you've been here for a couple of weeks and been posting reasonably regularly during that time, you should be promoted to Member.
In any case, the staff will always try to help you if they can. If you feel perhaps that you've been mistakenly overlooked (as does happen on occasion), your best bet is to either PM TosaInu or Ser Clegane and explain your situation.

If you think it is a technical issue, you might consider opening a thread in the Apothecary (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/forumdisplay.php?f=15) which is our forum where we try to solve problems in getting a Total War game to run. We have alot of friendly and helpfull members over there with alot of technical knowledge. I'm sure they will know how to help you out :2thumbsup:

Greetings my fellow knights, vikings, kings, peasants and so on. I am KING LUCAS *trumpets starts playing* sigh ok i'll stop bullcrapin. I am a devoted Medieval Total War Fan. I've played MTD since the time it came out and strangely i've never got bored of it, well it's not like I play it everyday but generally speaking it never bores me out. So I discovered this site not while ago and it kinda bothers me that I could have joined it earlier and whoever made those great mods i've played, they are great specially MTD XL mod. So once again I tell you I'm so happy to become a member here and I'm glad to see that other people enjoy this game as much as I do.

You can always open a thread in these two subfora in which you offer your services to anybody interested or, alternatively, you can look at the several hosted mods in progress and apply by sending a pm to the team members of the mod(s) you are interested in.

Hi Patroclus,
Do you want to hide certain aspects of the forum, such as avatars and signatures? If so, then you can do so in your UserCP (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/profile.php?do=editoptions). Simply scroll down until you see the "Thread Display Options" area. Look in the box which says "Visable Post Elements" and de-check whichever you wish to hide.
If you wish to hide the advertisements, then you, sadly, require Firefox 2 (http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/products/firefox/), a powerful open source web browser, and AdBlock+ (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865), an add-on for it. Simply download Firefox, install it, open it up and then download AdBlock+. Once the installation is complete and Firefox has restarted, then the majority of advertisements across the net will be made invisible.
If you wish to use a more minimal skin, then you could try the Lite (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/index.php?styleid=22) skin or the PDA (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/index.php?styleid=17) skin (click here (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/?styleid=4) to return to the default skin). Both of these handy skins hide avatars, advertisements and signatures, so are useful should you be using a slow connection. You can select more skins in the bottom left hand corner of the forum's page, just above the advertisements if your browser is not blocking them.

Do you want to hide certain aspects of the forum, such as avatars and signatures? If so, then you can do so in your UserCP (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/profile.php?do=editoptions). Simply scroll down until you see the "Thread Display Options" area. Look in the box which says "Visable Post Elements" and de-check whichever you wish to hide.
If you wish to hide the advertisements, then you, sadly, require Firefox 2 (http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/products/firefox/), a powerful open source web browser, and AdBlock+ (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865), an add-on for it. Simply download Firefox, install it, open it up and then download AdBlock+. Once the installation is complete and Firefox has restarted, then the majority of advertisements across the net will be made invisible.
If you wish to use a more minimal skin, then you could try the Lite (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/index.php?styleid=22) skin or the PDA (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/index.php?styleid=17) skin (click here (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/?styleid=4) to return to the default skin). Both of these handy skins hide avatars, advertisements and signatures, so are useful should you be using a slow connection. You can select more skins in the bottom left hand corner of the forum's page, just above the advertisements if your browser is not blocking them.

Hello everyone,
My username, for anyone who missed the box to the left of this post, is Frunk the Guest, and as the name suggests, I won't be very active. Some of you may have already noticed me posting in old, inactive mod threads in the MTW Mod section, and I'd like to apologise for being a complete noob, but it's not hard for someone like me to get lost here. I found out about this site on WikiPedia and I must say it really is a supurb site you've got here, I only wish I had've known about it long before now. A little bit about me is that I'm a 15 year-old from the great Land Down-under and I really love history. I play MTW at the moment but am planning to get the Eras and M2TW sometime soon.
Anyway, as suggested I'm really into these mods, I've got XL installed at the moment and have a question that I have posted elsewhere, but I don't know if that was the right place. Anyway, I've recently downloaded the Hero Creator, which is great fun, but unfortunately there was little information on how to use it for making agents (Any help is greatly appreciated), and also its compatibility with mods. So my question is this, what Heroes and Changes file should I be using for heroes in XL?

Currently, the biggest PBM going on is "King of The Romans", abbreviated KoTR. You'll have to do some reading first to get the grasp of it. Participating in a succesful PBM is a tremendous experience, so I've heard.
