Unit Description

Gallowglasses are the basic infantry of the Irish. They are armed with two-handed swords, which gives them an armour piercing attack. With their high charge and attack values, they are best used for flanking attacks, especially against heavily armoured units. They can be used in the middle of the lines, but will not take cavalry charges as well as a spear unit, and they will take heavy casualties due to their low defense. But once teched up with armour and morale upgrades, Gallowglasses can account for themselves against most of the other infantry in the game.
