The Cathedral is available to all factions except the Vikings at the start, and will be available to them if they convert to Christianity.


The Cathedral gives a +4 morale bonus to all units trained in the province. It also bestows a 40% happiness bonus on the province, adds 52 income to the province, and will work to convert unbelievers to the faith. Since the Cathedral is not in the same building line as the Catholic Church (although it is required), it does not replace the church so the happiness and conversion factors stack. So a province with a Catholic Church and a Cathedral add 70% happiness to the province.
