Unit Description
Chivalric Foot Knights cannot be trained per se, they are the unit that replaces Chivalric Knights and other heavy cavalry when dismounted. In most cases (definitely for Chivalric Knights), the option exists to dismount to Chivalric Foot Knights in both siege and open battle, giving the player flexibilty according to the enemy troop makeup. The one disadvantage they have over other polearm units is their size, dismounting from cavalry means the Chivalric Foot Knight unit will max out at 40 (on default sizes) as opposed to 60 for standard polearm infantry.
Chivalric Foot Knights are almost as good as Janissary Heavy Infantry. They are heavily armoured, allowing them to withstand both heavy missile fire and melee combat. They are Elite, and have very high morale, so they will fight on forever. They are deadly against armoured units, especially cavalry, and are great for defending tight spaces and in wooded terrain.
