Unit Description
Hospitaller Foot Knights cannot be recruited, they are available only by dismounting Hospitaller Knights in any battle. They are slow and heavily armoured, coupled with their high morale they will be able to stand against all odds for an extended period of time in battle. They are equipped with a large shield, but it is for decoration only.
The problem with Hospitaller Foot Knights is the method of attaining them. Mounted Hospitaller Knights cannot be recruited either, they might appear when a Crusade is called. So they may not be retrained or reinforced in either the mounted or pedestrian form, making them very rare. Since the mounted version is generally more useful, they are best kept that way.
The game files have them gaining +1 bonus to valour when recruited in Rhodes, but since they cannot be recruited this is not relevant to the game.
