Unit Description
The Mortar is the first gunpowder artillery piece available to the Muslims in the Medieval campaign. It can be used against buildings and enemy units alike. The accuracy and range are comparable to the non-gunpowder rock throwers, and it is good enough to take down gates and walls.

The Mortar projectile has a high arc, capable of firing over walls and other terrain obstacles. The ball does not bounce, but will instead explode on impact. While the accuracy is not that good, it has a fast reload time and decent power. The Mortar also has a wide firing arc, allowing it to cover more targets in battle, but due to the high arc there is a minimum firing distance.
