Unit Description
Teutonic Sergeants cannot be recruited, they are only available to the Holy Roman Empire through Crusades. Although classed as heavy cavalry, they are not Elite. Teutonic Sergeants carry the standard cavalry shield which protects them in melee and from missile weapons, but it only offers half the protection.
Teutonic Sergeants tactics are the same as most Knight and heavy cavalry units: flank the enemy, charge them in the rear, repeat as necessary. Avoid frontal charges into spear and pike units, avoid polearm units unless an instant rout is assured, and avoid camels. Teutonic Sergeants do not have a great charge, so it might be best to leave them in melee once engaged.
In siege battles, Teutonic Sergeants may be dismounted for Order Foot Soldiers.
