Unit Description
Lancers are available to the Aragonese and Spanish once the High period arrives. Although classed as heavy cavalry, Lancers are essentially Knights. They are Elite and Impetuous, skilled and heavily armoured, and are arguably the best cavalry in the campaign.
Lancer tactics are the same as most Knight and heavy cavalry units: flank the enemy, charge them in the rear, repeat as necessary. Avoid frontal charges into spear and pike units, avoid polearm units unless an instant rout is assured, and avoid camels.
In siege battles, Lancers may be dismounted for Chivalric Foot Knights.
