Unit Description
Feudal Knights are the first full-sized knight unit available in the campaign, and the only ones trainable in the Early period. Statistically, they are the same as early Royal Knights, but have 40 knights (on default sizes) as opposed to the 20 in the bodyguard units. This gives Feudal Knights more impact and makes them less likely to get overwhelmed.
Feudal Knight tactics are the same as most Knight units: flank the enemy, charge them in the rear, repeat as necessary. Avoid frontal charges into spear and pike units, avoid polearm units unless an instant rout is assured, and avoid camels. Like most Knights, they are Elite and Impetuous, but care must be taken to avoid situations that put them at a disadvantage, they are too expensive to waste needlessly.
In siege battles, they may be dismounted for Feudal Foot Knights.
