Unit Description
Swiss Halberdiers become available in the High period, but can only be trained in Switzerland. Although not heavily armoured like standard Halberdiers, they will perform better than Halberdiers in almost every role apart from "arrow sponge". They are faster, have a better attack, and have much higher morale. Like other polearms units, they can be devastating when attacking from the flanks or rear, and can handle heavily armoured infantry and cavalry. The low armour value also makes them a good choice for desert fighting, but this requires some long term planning with the Armourer building line in Switzerland and troop reinforcement logistics out of the Cantons.
